Dear Students, Staff, Parents and Well Wishers,
At St. Augustine’s Day School, Barrackpore we believe in upholding high standards with an absolute commitment to strive, to understand and improve, the educational process to help our students reach excellence in every field.
Principled on the motto, Success for Every Child, our teaching learning at school focusses on holistic development in terms of personal responsibility, self-control, good decision making skills, self-confidence, and character building with high moral values, along with academic excellence. Our excellent board examination results, with 100% pass percentage is testimony to the fact that our staff is dedicated to foster a positive learning environment for all our students. In 2023, more than one third of the batch of both ICSE and ISC has scored over 90% aggregate marks, with the school average being 84.67% (ICSE) & 85.09% (ISC).
We pride ourselves in going beyond regular syllabus in the primary section adopting the Montessori teaching methodologies. For primary and Middle school, focus is on developing the inquisitive minds using project and research based activities integrated into classroom teaching. Special emphasis is on honing the Communication Skills and Logical abilities at a young age. The school focusses on the Future Ready program to prepare the Senior school students with life skills requisite to the world outside. With our special curated programme, the Activity Based Curriculum, we aim to develop the latent abilities and help students shine in co scholastic activities. Most humbly, taking all this further ahead, we adhere to the enlightened vision of our Founder, Sir C R Gasper, “With the winds of change we aspire to create a learning environment, inculcate values and promote all round excellence to build global citizens” to develop the students as rational, morally sound & complete individuals and responsible citizens.
Together let’s create the school where students feel loved and engage in meaningful learning activities, parents are valued and supportive & staff is appreciated and acknowledged for their untiring efforts.
PRINCIPAL, Ms. S. Ray
