Here at St. Augustine’s Day School, Barrackpore we strive to help students reach excellence in every field from Academics to co-curriculars by building their foundation through our Montessori and child centric teaching approach. In 2019, one third of the batch of both ICSE and ISC has scored over 90% aggregate marks, with our ICSE topper ranking 3rd All India. However, our pride is the fact that nearly all of our students scored above 70% in board results.
We pride ourselves in going beyond regular syllabus; in primary and middle school we focus on Spoken English and Math skills. In senior classes we conduct a Future Ready program to prepare students with other life skills.
In 2019, we were the first school in the city to conduct a Career Fair for students of VIII-XII, where 25 national universities attended to help them understand what careers to pursue and what to study. Our students participate in sports and other competitions at state and national level frequently returning with top honours. In order to build a strong academic focus, we enhance the knowledge and skills of our teachers by investing in in-house teacher’s training and external workshops. We are known as “fast movers and early adopters” and keep providing the best opportunities to our staff to build their capabilities and contribute.
